If your specific fear isn't on Bia's list of standard programs, the underlying mechanism is still the same: anticipatory anxiety, avoidance, and a fear that grows the more it is avoided. Bia's custom phobia program adapts the structured exposure approach to whatever you name: fear of dogs, blood, needles, choking, weather, bridges, elevators. You define the fear, Bia helps you build the exposure ladder, and you set the pace. The same step-by-step process behind our emetophobia and panic programs guides yours.
Common signs of phobia
- Intense fear of a specific object, situation, or sensation
- Physical symptoms (racing heart, panic-like) when confronted with the trigger
- Avoidance behaviors organized around the trigger
- Interference with daily life: work, relationships, travel, sleep
- Anticipatory anxiety even when the trigger is not present

Retraining the Brain
Read the science behind recovery
Anxiety is the brain's natural alarm process out of balance. When we avoid a trigger, the brain learns the threat is real, and will trigger more discomfort next time, creating a vicious loop called the avoidance cycle.
Bia uses ERP (Exposure & Response Prevention) to help the brain unlearn fear through small, incremental exercises. Instead of reacting to triggers, build skills with proactive practice.
Bia provides pre-built recovery plans made of 80+ interactive activities for you and your child to complete at your own pace.
