Bia
Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy

This Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy explains how MyTherapy LLC d/b/a Bia (“Bia,” “we,” “us,” “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects consumer health data. It supplements our general Privacy Policy and applies to residents of Washington, Nevada, Connecticut, and other states with consumer health data laws.

“Consumer health data” means personal information that is linked or reasonably linkable to you and that identifies your past, present, or future physical or mental health status. Bia is a mental health and phobia recovery service, so much of the information you choose to provide to us is consumer health data.

Consumer Health Data We Collect, and Why

To build and deliver the recovery program you ask us for, we collect consumer health data that you choose to provide, including:

We collect this information for one purpose: to create and deliver your personalized recovery program, adapt it to your needs in real time, and let you track your progress. This information is necessary to provide the service you have requested from us. You are always in control of the pace and order of your journey, and you can choose not to provide any particular information.

Where We Collect It From

We collect consumer health data directly from you, when you complete onboarding, assessments, lessons, exercises, journaling, and other activities within Bia. We do not purchase consumer health data, and we do not collect it from data brokers.

How We Use It

We use your consumer health data only to provide, personalize, and improve the recovery program and features you use, to track and show your progress, and to provide support. We do not use your consumer health data for advertising, and we do not share it with advertising platforms.

How We Share It

We do not sell your consumer health data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own purposes. We share it only in these limited ways:

We never share your consumer health data with advertisers or data brokers, and we never sell it.

Categories of Third Parties and Affiliates

The only recipients of consumer health data are: Amazon Web Services (infrastructure, storage, and data processing on our behalf); and a licensed therapist or organization that you choose to connect with. We do not share consumer health data with any other third party or affiliate.

Your Rights

At any time, you may:

To exercise any of these rights, use your account settings or email support@biajourney.com. We will respond as required by applicable law, and we will not deny you services, charge you a different price, or provide a different quality of service for exercising your rights.

Children

Accounts for children under 13 must be created and managed by a parent or guardian, who controls the child’s information and can view and permanently delete it at any time. See our Privacy Policy for more detail.

Security and Retention

We protect consumer health data using industry-standard security measures, and we retain it only for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service to you, unless a longer period is required by law. See our Privacy Policy for more on security and retention.
